The New Wine’s Hove-mixtape

Written on June 15th, 2009 by Åse Bredeli Røyset

While the Nö Music editorial team is phoning up friends from near and far and their aunts to find someone with a summer house at Tromøya, The New Wine have a more entertaining way of preparing for the Hove Festival. Stian Iversen (guitars and vocals) has made a mixtape to cure his longing for the south coast, featuring his favourite artist appearing at Hove next week. In a slightly more international mood, keyboardist Geir Hermansen took his cue and did the same.

«The line up is great, and it’s hard to select among such a vast number of cool tracks. Some songs are just too hard to mix, and some are too soft for a dancy mixtape (I’m sorry Fleet Foxes, but I love you even though you’re soft!). The New Wine are playing this year, at the 23rd on the main stage (17:45 to be precise). The first mixtape is “mixed” by Stian. I’ve tried to make some smooth transitions, but well-well, it’s mainly about the music!» S. Iversen, The New Wine.

See you at Hove over a bottle of the new stuff, boys!
