More birthdays coming up! Motorpsycho are celebrating their 20th this year — an event that shall not go unnoticed for one of Norway’s most-released bands. After spitting out album after maxi single after EP after side projects after album non stop for two decades — how better to mark this event than by releasing another!
Not just any album though — not that any Motorpsycho album is just another album, here’s a band that’s tampered with most genres between straight on rock, country, jazz, alone or with their friends in Jaga Jazzist or The International Tussler Society, without it ever stopping fans or critics from approving, nuff said — come June this year the results from Steve Albini’s Electric Audio will be out on Rune Grammofon. The album is titled Child Of The Future, and will hold 7 songs, on vinyl only.
On somewhat related news; Rune ‘Grammofon’ Kristoffersen has recently founded a vinyl-only record label The Last Record Company — coming up there are releases by Maja Ratkje (Cyborgic), Ultralyd (Renditions) and Stian Westerhus (Galore).

One Response to “Motorpsycho getting old”

GETTIN’ OLD, FEELIN’ BLUE
Gettin’ old and feelin’ blue,
Workin’ days, almost through,
Kids are grown, my woman ain’t new,
Fewer choices, nothin’ to do,
So I dream of places I no longer go,
I talk to people I don’t wanna know,
Walkin’ G dead, shattered head,
Waitin’ on somethin’ new to do,
Gettin’ old and feelin’ blue.
