Karin Park album details: ‘Ashes To Gold’ produced by Datarock

Written on April 7th, 2009 by Dan Roberts

Bergen-based electro-popper Karin Park has confirmed that her latest record, Ashes To Gold, will come out on YAP Records, the label founded by Datarock, on the 27th of April. But Datarock’s involvement doesn’t end there - Fredrik Saroea, the Datarock lynchpin, is producing the whole album, and also features on the record, alongside other collaborators from near and far afield such as Alex Carapetis (Nine Inch Nails, Kelis), Ralph Myerz (Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band), and Kristian Stockhaus (Ungdomskulen). The album was recorded at Wendyhouse in London, the same studio where Datarock’s upcoming Red was produced.

If you can’t wait that long for your dose of Karin, then you can catch her on the silver screen in Norway’s premiere Easter horror outing Skjult - although judging from the critical reception of this ‘mass of cliches’ you might just want to wait for Ashes To Gold
