Karin Park reveals album details

Written on February 18th, 2009 by Åse Bredeli Røyset

We have already seen her new video, a teaser of the new Park sound, and we admit it, we have been teased. Even more so now, when record label YAP share alluring details of how this new, darker, beatier and meatier Karin Park has come to life.

The record, Ashes to Gold, is recorded in Bergen’s Duper Studios, birthplace of Bergen albums in the plenty, and Wendyhouse Productions in London - where the likes of Kylie and Robbie has set foot. Perhaps more explanatory though, Park has brought in the songwriting skills of both Ralph Myerz and Kristian Stockhaus (Ungdomskulen), and left the final result in the hands of the more than capable producer Ollie Olsson (Robyn, Lady Sovereign, Snoop Dogg, Ice-T, Coolio).

Intriguing indeed… We can’t wait to see what Park has to offer for the official single launch this Friday, when she, amongst colleagues, is playing the Young Aspiring Professionals by:Larm night:
