Röyksopp release new song

Written on December 14th, 2008 by Dan Roberts

Well, it’s been a long time coming, and didn’t materialise when we thought it would, but finally there is some visible activity on the Röyksopp front. The downtempo duo have started overhauling their official website and are offering a taster of a new song called ‘Happy Birthday’, which will be offered free in full on the 15th of December - because that’s the day that ‘Röyksopp will be celebrating their birthday’. It’s three years since Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge’s second offering The Understanding — and their as yet untitled third full-length is due early next year. The clip of the new song features a recording of a man stridently suggesting ’shall we get going’. It’s about bloody time you did, boys.

To download the ‘Happy Birthday’ teaser, or the full track after tomorrow, visit Röyksopp’s revitalised homepage.
