The Norwegian so-called equivalent to SXSW, by:Larm, is revealing its first artists. Last year Oslo for the first time got to host the schmooztival after by:Larm has toured various smaller Norwegian cities throughout its ten year existence. Looming bankruptcy forced by:Larm to let the capital become constant host and this year’s festival takes place in downtown Oslo, 19th-21st of January. The past couple years have seen an increase in Swedish and Danish acts on an event that seems torn between being Scandinavia’s largest music convention and a celebration of the Norwegian underground music scene.
