To mark the 15th anniversary of Tim Burton’s cult-favourite The Nightmare Before Christmas Disney Records has commissioned a host of bands to rework the original songs from the film, the end results of which will be collected and released as Nightmare Revisited. It’s a rather head-scratching selection of artists that Disney saw fit to invite to take part; everyone from Korn and Marilyn Manson to RJD2 and The Album Leaf. Most intereresting though is the inclusion of Norway’s own tracksuited-crusaders Datarock, who have recorded ‘To The Rescue’ for the compilation. The band offer the rather incredible trivia tidbit that ‘DATAROCK recorded 120 separate tracks for the remake, making the size of this one single session just as big as all the sessions on our debut “DATAROCK DATAROCK” put together.’
Nightmare Revisited is out on the 30th of September, and the tracklist looks like this:
