Motorpsycho goes Albini

Written on July 7th, 2008 by Andreas Larssen

According to Adresseavisa, Motorpsycho found spare time between the three gigs of their itsy bitsy US tour. What to do in situations like that? Visit Vegas? Graceland? Fort Lauderdale? Perhaps, but if you’re Motorpsycho, you hang out with Steve Albini in his studio, Electrical Audio.

Motorpsycho’s Bent Sæther tells Adresseavisa that the session was a nice experience, but they have yet to decide whether the tapes will end up as the next Motorpsycho album. Bent says they played well, the sound was good, it’s down to deciding whether the songs are good enough. Well. They usually are.

Seems like the Norwegian bands all decided to use their coupon for Albini sessions, as Steve already recorded The Thing, the upcoming Ranheim album, and will record Årabrot’s third album.
